Guava Mimosa {A Unique Champagne Cocktail for Brunch}

Back when I was a kid, my family took a vacation to Hawaii. That’s where I first fell in love with Guava nectar. I ordered it each morning at breakfast, and what a delight. So now as an adult, you can imagine my giddiness to find guava nectar at the local grocery store. It may not be quite like the fresh guava nectar from the islands, but it’s certainly delicious enough to use in a dazzling sparkling cocktail. Enter the Guava Mimosa.

Make this Guava Mimosa if you're looking for a unique take on the classic champagne cocktail popular for brunches and morning gatherings. So delicious!Guava nectar is fairly sweet—after all it is a tropical island fruit. Usually blush or pale cream in color, it makes for a beautiful spring or summer rendition of the classic mimosa. Traditional mimosas are made with Brut champagne, but sweet or dry sparkling wine will work here. I like to use a sweet Italian Spumante myself. Costs less and I like the sweetness paired with the guava nectar.

You may find guava nectar at the grocery, but I’ve found that not all stores carry it. If they carry it I sometimes find it in the juice section, other times in the Latin American section. You can also find it here on Amazon.com, and if you purchase through this link, you’ll be helping to support Dish-y with a small commission. It’s well worth the effort to get your hands on some whether you put it in a sparkling wine cocktail or just drink it straight up!

I hope you enjoy this unique and tasty Guava Mimosa as much as I do. Cheers!
